Abstract
The photo-induction of chemical oscillation has been found in the Belo usov-Zhabotinsky reaction in a continuous flow-stirred tank reactor. P hoto-response of the system is characterized by taking the initial con centration of bromate ions and the incident light power as external co ntrol parameters. This characterization has lead us to conclude that t he photo-irradiation in a certain range of control parameters can serv e either to induce or to inhibit chemical oscillations depending on th e light power.
