Abstract
Methods for the determination of molecular dication decay constants us ing the charge separation mass spectrometry technique have been develo ped. Mean lifetimes have been determined for CO22+ (900(-200)+400 ns), N2O2+ (450(-200)+250 ns) and CO2+ (600(-200)+600 ns). In other cases metastable dication decay must be described by more than one mean life time.
