Xb. Zhao, 2-DIMENSIONAL GRAIN-GROWTH MODEL CONSIDERING THE EFFECT OF TEXTURES, Science in China. Series A, Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy & Technological Sciences, 36(7), 1993, pp. 875-881
A new statistical model for 2-dimensional grain growth has been develo
ped with the method of integrating the migration rate along grain boun
daries. The specific energy gamma and the mobility m of a grain bounda
ry is considered as being dependent on the orientations of the grains
on both sides of the boundary, so that a comprehensive understanding o
f the effect of textures on the process of grain growth can be obtaine
d. With the new model some experimental results of texture controlled
grain growth can be interpreted satisfactorily.
