The kinetics of ozone evolution on lead dioxide in H2SO4 and HClO4 sol
utions is studied by cyclic voltammetry. The principal factor affectin
g the current efficiency for ozone is assumed to be adsorption of the
acid anions on the anode. A scheme of ozone formation on lead dioxide
is proposed.
