The fast, reliable measurement of corrugated board gluebond strength u
nder wet conditions is particularly important to producers of corrugat
ed box board. An automated method for measuring gluebond which provide
s increased reliability, convenience and speed is presented. The effec
t of curing time on the gluebond result and a novel way of acceleratin
g curing time is discussed. A case study showing the usefulness of glu
ebond measurement as a tool for diagnosing production problems at the
corrugator is given.
