Abstract
We present a case of a male infant with no previous urological symptom s who presented in acute urinary retention caused by compression of th e posterior urethra by a paraureteral diverticulum. We discuss the eti ology, evaluation and management of bladder outlet obstruction seconda ry to a paraureteral diverticulum in children.
