P. Panzer et M. Liu, THE MAGNETIC SIGNALS ACCOMPANYING THE MOVING A-B INTERFACE OF SUPERFLUID HE-3, Journal of low temperature physics, 92(1-2), 1993, pp. 127-146
The magnetic signals emitted by a moving A-B interface are calculated
using the spin hydrodynamic theory and the general boundary conditions
at the A-B interface. Most experimental observations1 are well accoun
ted for. We especially find the following behavior for the excess magn
etization: (i) It vanishes if the interface velocity u is below a thre
shold,- (ii) it starts growing with u2 above the threshold, spreads co
nsiderably in the A phase, and develops a leading edge; (iii) it diver
ges as u approaches the spin wave velocity.
