CURRENT CONCEPTS IN MENISCAL REPAIR

As the importance of meniscal preservation has become recognized, meni scal repair has become a more commonly practiced procedure. We briefly review the current, commonly accepted indications, techniques, and ou r rehabilitation protocol for meniscal repair. Both open and arthrosco pic repairs are reviewed, including the arthroscopic techniques classi fied as inside-out, outside-in, and all inside. We conclude with a rev iew of the results of meniscal repair and some thoughts on future dire ctions.
