C. Delgado et al., APPLICATION OF CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS TO THE QUALITATIVE-ANALYSIS OF SUGARS IN A SORGHUM HYDROLASE, Analusis, 21(6), 1993, pp. 281-285
In this paper the capillary electrophoresis technique is applied to th
e identification of sugars in a sorghum hydrolysate. Sugars were analy
zed after derivatization using reductive amination techniques wherein
2-aminopyridine was the chromophore. A comparison of the separation ob
tained with and without tagging was performed A study on the influence
of temperature, buffer concentration and capillary length on the sepa
ration of the four main sugars in the hydrolysate (xylose, arabinose,
glucose and galactose) is presented
