We describe two women with primary Sjogren's syndrome and sensory neur
opathy who had anhidrosis segmentally along the dermatomes of the spin
al segment, along with sensory loss. Intradermal administration of cho
linergic agents elicited no sweat response in the spinal segments with
anhidrosis, whereas a normal response was present in the segments wit
h obvious sweating. These features suggest segmental involvement of th
e postganglionic sympathetic ganglion cells.
