Abstract
An 18-year-old woman presented with myelopathic symptoms and a T-8 sen sory deficit during a primary varicella infection. There were signific ant MRI changes in both the cervical and thoracic regions. Following t reatment with steroids and intravenous acyclovir, the patient improved clinically and the abnormalities on MRI improved.
