Abstract
The screening distance a(s) = 0.118+/-0.010 angstrom as a parameter of Moliere potential for ion-atom interaction is found from experiments on N2+ scattering by Cu semi- channels. Equal values are obtained for two different semi-channels on a Cu surface. This value agrees with th ose obtained for scattering of Ar+ by Cu, and also for those obtained for the scattering of both alkali and inert gas ions by gaseous target s.
