Abstract
Fold recognition force fields based on statistics from native structur es have become commonplace. New, nonphysical force fields based on opt imizing parameters rather than reflecting Boltzmann statistics may off er improvement in force-field performance for threading and other appl ications. Improvements in sequence-to-structure alignments will also b e essential for improved fold recognition.
