Abstract
A framework of a fiber optic home network is specified even though the re is a certain amount of uncertainty in the future level of fiber tec hnology and the future requirements of the household information netwo rk. The proposed network provides a smooth integration between propose d home automation standards and existing fiber networks in the telecom munications industry. Simulations are used to assess the performance o f the proposed network.
