Polarographic technique has been used to determine the mixed ligand co
mplex formation between Cd-II and Zn-II with L-tyrosine, L-arginine, L
-methionine, L-hydroxytryptophane, L-tryptophane, L-hydroxyproline, L-
proline and L-histidine as primary ligands and vitamin B-6 as a second
ary ligands. Cd-II and Zn-II formed 1 : 1 : 1, 1 : 1 : 2 and 1 : 2 : 1
complexes. The stability trend of the complexes have been explained o
n the basis of bonding, basicity and steric hindrance.
