Abstract
Membrane potential and membrane conductance studies have been carried out with a cation selective membrane (BNSCSM-1) to demonstrate predict ability of solute separation characteristics of the membrane using non -equilibrium thermodynamic principles. Determination of membrane perms electivity and fixed charge density has been carried out. Variation of these electrochemical parameters with concentration has also been exa mined.
