Td. Degtyarenko et al., EFFECT OF SOME SAS ON THE SURFACE-PROPERTIES AND PARTICLE INTERACTIONS OF ULTRADISPERSED POWDERS, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 55(1), 1993, pp. 40-44
Particle surfaces have been modified by adsorption in order to break d
own aggregates in the original ultradispersed powders (UDP) and to pre
vent the possibility of localized conglomerates being formed in suspen
sions. A study has been made of the adsorption of different chemical t
ypes of SAS at the surface of the components of UDP mixtures. The effe
ct of the SAS on the surface electrical properties (zeta-potential) of
the powders and the particle interactions of individual UDP and their
mixtures has been studied.
