Abstract
The present analysis is concerned with the flow and heat transfer char acteristics of the fully developed laminar mixed convection in a verti cal channel embedded in porous media with asymmetric wall heat fluxes. The exact solutions of the velocity profiles and temperature distribu tion as well as the Nusselt number in terms of bulk mean temperature a re derived by using non-Darcy flow model. The investigation of Darcy r esistance is shown to demonstrate the effect due to the porous materia l. Finally, parameter zones for the occurrence of reversed flow are al so presented.
