Abstract
Although deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism are poten tially fatal complications of numerous surgical procedures, DVT associ ated with ophthalmic surgery has rarely been reported in the current l iterature. We report the development of a DVT in a patient following c omplicated vitreoretinal surgery.
