Abstract
Effect of soil particle's size on gamma ray attenuation has been inves tigated in the low and medium energy regions. The appreciable variatio n has been seen in linear and mass attenuation coefficients with soil grain diameter d. The rate of change of mu or mu/rho with d has also b een seen to be changing with photon energy.
