Abstract
Two strains of a new species of meristematic fungi, described as Phaeo theca triangularis, were isolated from moisteners of air-conditioning systems. The species is believed to be related to dothideaceous black yeasts. Its morphology, ultrastructure and nutritional physiology are reported.
