X. Du et al., A KNOWLEDGE-BASED OPEN MODEL FOR HUMAN-COMPUTER INTERACTION, Science in China. Series A, Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy & Technological Sciences, 36(8), 1993, pp. 1015-1024
The paper proposes an open model for human computer interaction. It di
vides the interactive system into six layers: I/O media, concept, sema
ntic/syntax, domain, mode/style, and computation, and adopts knowledge
to represent functions of the layers. The paper outlines the open mod
el and the knowledge used within each layer. The characteristics are a
lso discussed. An example dialogue is given to clarify the idea.
