Jp. Hrapia et R. Schollner, INFLUENCE OF THE CONDITIONS OF ACTIVATION ON THE ADSORPTION OF NITROGEN ON CA4NA4A-ZEOLITES, Chemische Technik, 45(4), 1993, pp. 216-221
This paper aims to describe the dependence of the adsorption of nitrog
en on a CaNaA zeolite on the parameters of thermal treatment. The capa
city of adsorption of nitrogen increases with the temperature of pretr
eatment up to 850 K and with the air current linear up to 5l/gh. Short
times of thermal treatment and a higher concentration of ammonia in t
he air current improve the capacity of adsorption. By means of infrare
d spectroscopic measurement of the ratio of Si/Al and complexometric a
nalysis of Ca and Al it is possible to describe the stoichiometry of t
he hydrothermal degradation. Theoretical models for the kinetics of th
is reaction and for the degree of hydrothermal degradation depending o
n the number of calcium cations in the zeolite are given.
