Abstract
In this report, our previous measured natural-radiative-lifetime value s [G. Chuan et al., Phys. Rev. A 47, 1551 (1993)] of the perturbed Ryd berg sequence 4f(14)6snp P-3(2) of Yb I have been analyzed using m mul tichannel quantum-defect theory. The agreement between theoretical and experimental results is rather good.
