Abstract
In addition to known compounds, investigation of the aerial parts of L ychnophora diamantinana afforded two new sesquiterpene lactones of the heliangolide type. Along with a flavanone and a flavonol, the first d ihydroflavonol was isolated from the tribe Vernonieae.
