Two new polyphenolic compounds, melitric acids A (2) and B (5), were i
solated from the aboveground part of Melissa officinalis (Labiatae) an
d their structures, consisting of three caffeic acid units, were deter
mined from chemical reactions and spectral data. Rosmarinic acid (1) w
as also isolated.
