Abstract
The interpair and intrapair electron pair correlation energies of the low-energy (2)A(1) excited state of NaCl2 have been analyzed and compa red with the corresponding energies of the ground B-2(2) states, The t otal interpair electron correlation energy in the excited state domina tes, just as in the ground state.
