Abstract
We present a study of charm and bottom production in fixed-target conf igurations of present experimental interest. Details of inclusive dist ributions and quark-pair correlations will be discussed within the fra mework of NLO perturbative QCD, together with a study of additional hi gher-order and non-perturbative effects.
