W. Verweij, THE DETERMINATION OF FREE COPPER IN FRESH-WATER USING THE MNO2-ADSORPTION METHOD, Chemical speciation and bioavailability, 5(2), 1993, pp. 43-49
The MnO2-adsorption method was used to monitor the concentration of fr
ee copper in freshwater during one year. Two types of Langmuir lineari
sations as well as a linear model were applied to process the data. Th
e concentration of free copper was in the order of 10(-11) M. No corre
lation was observed with the concentration of dissolved organic carbon
or the optical density at 250 or 365 nm.
