C. Dearmasserra et al., PRESENCE OF PROTEOLYTIC-ENZYMES IN DICROCOELIUM-DENDRITICUM EGGS, International journal for parasitology, 23(5), 1993, pp. 681-684
The proteolytic activity of eggs from Dicrocoelium dendriticum was exa
mined using azocoll as protein substrate. Enzymes from the egg were ca
pable of hydrolyzing the protein in a wide range of pH (2, 3 and 4), w
ith maximal activity in acid ranges (pH 3-4). These enzymes were sensi
tive to serine, cystein, aspartyl and metallo protease inhibitors. Sub
sequent analysis by modified SDS-PAGE in gels containing gelatine demo
nstrate the presence of three bands with proteolytic activity.
