Abstract
The Little compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group, P1BAR a , with four crystalographically independent [(dibenzo-18-crown-6) K+] units. The independent crown ether molecules are very similar each to other. The potassium ions are displaced from the mean planes of the et her oxygen donors by 0.358(3) to 0.450(3) angstrom. The crystal struct ure consists of two different chains of the alternating complex cation s and tetrahedral FeCl4- anions.
