The H-1-NMR spectra of liquid binary mixtures, methanol (MeOH)-dioxane
(Dx), were recorded at 298 K and the spectral parameters, DELTAdelta(M
eOH-Dx) were evaluated. The dielectric permittivities (epsilon12) were
measured at 293.15 K, 298.15 K, 303.15 K and 308.15 K. From literatur
e values of density (d12), ViSCosity (eta12) and the measured dielectl
ic permittivities the molar volumes (V12), kinematic viscosities (eta1
2/d12) and their deviations from ''ideality'', at 298.15 K, were calcu
lated. Further on the temperature coefficients of dielectric permittiv
ity, alpha12=(1/epsilon12).[depsilon12/d(1/T)], were evaluated. These
structural parameters as functions of concentration suggest the format
ion of the ''complexes'' ( sub-units) of MeOH.2Dx, MeOH.Dx and 3MeOH.2
Dx types.
