J. Repka et Z. Jurekova, CHANGES IN PHYSIOLOGICAL-ACTIVITY OF ASSI MILATIVE TISSUE IN CONDITIONS OF LONG-CONTINUED PHOTOSYNTHESIS, Rostlinna vyroba, 39(7), 1993, pp. 633-638
Plant physiological processes - rates of photosynthesis (P(N)), respir
ation (R(D)), Hill reaction activity (AHR) were measured in laboratory
, field and greenhouse conditions. On the basis of measurements the ph
otosynthetic capacity of leaf tissues was characterized. The results o
btained proved that photosynthetic activity is high and assume active
dry matter accummulation up to 45 % of weight during 28 hours of conti
nual lighting and segments exposition. The dry matter accummulation is
shown by changes in nitrogen concentrations. The dry matter increase
without transport of assimilates modified relations between photosynth
esis rate (P(N)), respiration (R(D)) as well as relations between horm
onal substances either stimulative or inhibitory type.
