The structural pattern of crop production is of the decisive influence
on the final dry matter and nutrient production per land area unit an
d in this respect, it exceeds the effects of fertilization, cultivars,
and other factors. The transition to free market economy and the pres
sure to economize crop production will result in most crop belts and r
egions in marked changes in crop production structure and in its diver
sification when compared with the previous uniform structural pattern
of our crop production. New designs of crop production structures in r
elation to cattle farming and its anticipated distribution in particul
ar regions are presented in the paper, as well as crop production stru
ctures with a high to extreme specialization which are believed to be
suitable for smaller farms and crop production structures mainly desig
ned for feed production for livestock farming.
