Abstract
This paper investigates the spatial decay of solutions to two ill-pose d parabolic initial-boundary value problems: 1) the backward heat equa toin defined on a semi-infinite cylinder in R(N) and 2) the backward S tokes flow equations defined on a semi-infinite strip in R2.
