Abstract
Numerical control simulations are an important means for the developme nt and improvement of metallurgical processes. Examples for following applications are presented: temperature control in ladles. flow in con tinuous casting tundishes. secondary exhaust at the converter. shop ex haust for an electric-arc furnace, flow and mixing in a gasholder as w ell as flow and combustion in furnace chambers.
