SIGLE - A MODEL FOR INTERNATIONAL-COOPERATION

Grey literature in its various aspects presents many problems for prod ucers, intermediaries and end-users. SIGLE-System for Information on G rey Literature in Europe - was established with the aim of providing a ccess to, and incidentally improving bibliographic coverage of, grey l iterature produced in Europe. The background to and workings of the sy stem are described. Its strengths and weaknesses are analysed to allow consideration of how far it can be presented as a model for similar v entures.
