A rare case of invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder
developing 5 years after cadaveric renal transplant is described. The
technical precautions to be taken while performing a radical cystecto
my in such a situation is highlighted. This patient required chemother
apy in the post-operative period, and the role of chemotherapy in the
presence of immunosuppressive therapy is discussed.
