Abstract
Iterative global/local finite-clement stress analysis was used to perf orm linear analysis of two configurations with local damage. One was a tubular joint with local debonding; the other was a fibre matrix unit cell with debonding along part of the interface. The global/local pro cedure was shown to be both accurate and efficient for both configurat ions.
