Action of electromagnetic radiation on nonspherical dust particles is
discussed. It is stressed that the radiation pressure coefficient Q(PR
) cannot be considered to be a scalar quantity, as it is used in all c
alculations for dynamical studies of interplanetary dust particles. Al
so the equation [Q(PR)A] = [Q(PR)][A] (A - area of the particle) holds
only for perfectly absorbing convex dust particle (Q(PR) = 1) and not
even one of these two properties holds for interplanetary dust partic
les. Plane mirror is discussed in detail - all calculations can be don
e in this simple case.
