Abstract
On the basis of the analysis of IR spectroscopic data it was assumed t hat the adsorbing entity in the system lead sulfide-aqueous xanthate s olution is lead xanthate in molecular form. Starting from this assumpt ion it was shown that the quantitative data on the adsorption of xanth ate at the PbS surface may be described by ''classical'' adsorption is otherms, for example, the Frumkin isotherm.
