Abstract
The FAB mass spectra of some phosphonopeptides yield interesting analy tical information. First, the lability of the P-N bond is established by the study of fragmentation. Second, the N terminal protecting group s Fmoc(N-(fluoren-9-ylmethoxycarbonyl)), Z(N-benzyloxycarbonyl), and P ht(N-phthalyl-) are identified from the FAB mass spectra.
