Vv. Eremenko et al., UNUSUAL BEHAVIOR OF THE LUMINESCENCE IN QUASI-ONE-DIMENSIONAL ANTIFERROMAGNETIC CRYSTAL CSMNCL32H2O AT LOW-TEMPERATURE, Solid state communications, 87(11), 1993, pp. 1027-1029
An unusual increase of the luminescence relative quantum yield and lum
inescence decay rate is revealed in quasi-one-dimensional antiferromag
netic crystal CsMnCl32H2O from 6 to 30 K. This effect is related to th
ermoactivation of the additional exciton-magnon-phonon emission mechan
ism and takes place in one-dimensional antiferromagnets only. The tran
sport of excitons, earlier considered to be localized in CMC, is therm
oactivated above 50 K.
