Abstract
In this paper the noise effects on the period-doubling route in deeply modulated laser diodes were investigated. The dynamics were studied b y employing the single-mode rate equations with consideration of Lange vin noise. It was identified that the period-doubling event in laser d iodes had a virtual Hopf precursor and was enhanced by the existed Lan gevin noise.
