Abstract
Although exclusive breast-feeding decreases infant mortality and morbi dity in developing countries, its protective effects in infants living in industrialized nation's have been more difficult to quantitate. A recent study provides strong evidence that exclusive breast-feeding fo r at least four months decreases the incidence of otitis media in the first year of life.
