Abstract
Changes in the apparent consumption of foods and nutrients in Australi a over 20 years from 1969-70 to 1989-90 are consistent with the intent of the Australian Dietary Guidelines. However, in the 20-year period the contribution of energy from dietary fat has marginally increased a nd is higher than recommended by health authorities.
