Abstract
YBa2Cu3O7-x/Sn (YBCO/Sn) composites sintered at 230-degrees-C exhibite d a percolation threshold for electrical conductivity at 20 vol% Sn, w ith semiconducting and metallic behaviour below and above it, respecti vely. The simultaneous decrease in alpha = drho/dT and rho0 with incre ase in Sn content was related to formation of defect-free interfaces. The diamagnetic shielding property of the composites weakened with Sn content, as deduced from magnetic levitation experiments.
