Abstract
The backward facing step flow was computed by k-epsilon model using is otropic and anisotropic expression for Reynolds stress. The computatio nal results were compared with LES data and discussed. Anisotropic mod el can express the difference between the normal stress components, an d it gives improvement for prediction of turbulent energy distribution in the recirculating zone and pressure distribution on the wall. But this model gives just a little improvement for reattachment length bec ause of less improvement for Reynolds shear stress. Moreover, a priori test using LES data to investigate the feature of anisotropic express ion model was conducted.
