Abstract
Numerical simulation of air flow over a heated flat plate was performe d using the anisotropic k-epsilon model. The wall functions for veloci ty and temperature were modified using universal functions, and the bu oyant term in the dissipation equation was eliminated. The calculated results were compared with those from wind tunnel experiments. The cal culated mean velocity, turbulent intensity and mean temperature showed good agreement with profiles measured in the wind tunnel.
