The flowfields around a high-rise buildings in an urban area are predi
cted numerically by means of k-epsilon two-equation turbulence model t
o grasp the extent of harmful strong wind areas. The numerical results
are compared with the results of the wind tunnel experiment. Furtherm
ore, the two or three dimensional figures of them are evaluated concer
ning their utilities. In this paper the accuracy of the numerical meth
od and the effectiveness of 2-D or 3-D visualization for the numerical
results is clarified.
